Conversations on the Coast

In 2009 and 2010 I cycled around the coast of England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland. 6500 miles on my own. Along the way I met many makers and artists whose stories I recorded. In their own words, this little book is made up of some of those stories. The simple act of making things slowly by hand along with the deep impression that the makers left on me, changed my life and I knew that my life from then on would be different. Nick Hand, 2025.
