Printed from a boxwood block engraved by Diana Bloomfield, this print shows Diana's mother practicing the piano as a child (she went on to become a concert pianist).
Diana Bloomfield was a British wood engraver and textile designer in the 1950s and sold her work to Penguin, Oxford University Press and Liberties, also designing the iconic Wine Society logo.
This wood engraving was printed at The Letterpress Collective's FAG 40 proofing press by her granddaughter Emma Gregory, also an artist.
